Letter: Sheriff did a great job
I am responding to the nasty letter written about our Sheriff P.J. Tanner regarding re-entry after Hurricane Matthew.
What does boots on the ground have to do with a hurricane return? In my opinion, he did a great job, along with all of the law enforcement in Beaufort County and the state troopers. Why didn’t the complainer stay, as I did with no problems. I knew that I was on my own but I have weathered more severe thunderstorms than this.
Why weren’t other leaders given some of the blame?
In my opinion, the county should be required to pick up debris as the trash sites are not open for that type of disposal. We need new blood in some of these positions.
