Letter: Tell council you appreciate Steve Riley

Hurricane Matthew has presented us with a challenge bigger than any of us “old timers” have ever seen. We will rebuild and we will do it quicker than we think. It will not be easy or painless, but it will get done.

Please let our Hilton Head Island Town Manager Steve Riley know what a fantastic job he has done in getting us to this point.

Also, let the mayor and Town Council know what a great job he has done. His 25 years of experience with the Town of Hilton Head Island has shown all of us how important he is to our town.

Mayors come and they go, but Steve Riley is the driving force behind our town government’s success. It will take Steve’s experience to help us through these troubling times.

Tom Peeples was elected to Town Council in 1989 and served 15 years as mayor (1995-2010).
