Letter: How much money is enough?

What services may be needed from the Town of Hilton Head Island if Bay Island is annexed? There is nothing in this world that is free or almost free. Everything has a cost.

Is the fire, police and ambulance corps going to be contracted for services? They may be in place now. Will the town be charged for their services?

How much time will it take a building inspector to go and return to do an inspection?

Private meeting with one or more Town Council members and Bay Point representatives is illegal. It is called the “open meetings law.”

Let’s not develop every open space just for a buck. How much money is enough? Let’s leave a legacy of proper land management to show our future kids that we were not money grabbers and we want to leave future generations something to be proud of.
