Letter: The real power of Finn
The rescue of Finn, the runaway dog, was a powerful story.
It was a tale of perseverance, ingenuity, patience, and altruism. It was very uplifting to know how many people were willing to spend their time and money for Finn’s food and shelter, for a dog with whom they had no personal connection.
The long-term commitment to Finn’s rescue is a reaffirmation of the basic good in human nature and the willingness of strangers to pull together for a common good.
The series by Liz Farrell was well written and provided a glimpse of the truly amazing people here in the Lowcountry. I hope the newspaper continues its good work as a local paper with the ability to inform and unite its readers.
