Letter: Trump would be tragic mistake
A number of writers have expressed frustration with their voting options for president of the United States. I am perfectly content with my choice. She is the most qualified individual to ever run for that office. But I can understand why individuals who are not racists or bigots, and who normally vote for the Republican candidate, have a conflict with the prospect of voting for a racist and a bigot.
Donald Trump degrades women, mocks the afflicted, insults blacks, Hispanics, Muslims and anyone else who does not agree with him. He is not qualified to be president of this country. The man is crude, rude and ignorant of facts that all informed individuals know. When confronted with facts he responds with yet another lie. Bottom line, he is a pathological, lying, uninformed clown.
Republican Party leaders are distancing themselves from Trump because they, and intelligent Republicans, recognize that Trump is a loose cannon and if elected would be a dangerous threat to the security of this country. He is unable to control himself and what he says. He would be a “huge” embarrassment.
Before even considering voting for Trump, ask yourself if you are really comfortable with him representing this country on the world theater, working with other world leaders. Recognizing that Trump would be hard pressed to name the top 20 countries in the world, let alone knowing the names of the leaders who represent those countries. Don’t make that tragic mistake.
