Letter: Take Trump over career politician
You have recently received several letters to the editor containing not-so-kind words about Donald Trump. One such letter called him a “buffoon.”
In response, a “buffoon” could never have built a business empire like Trump has done.
A “buffoon” could not take over a skating rink project that the New York City government wasted millions of dollars on but still wasn’t usable, but Trump volunteered to take it over and completed it for far less and in less time and it is still operating today.
A “buffoon” wouldn’t notice that we are $19 trillion in debt yet are spending millions for the thousands of U.S. troops protecting the South Korean border and their economy is booming.
A “buffoon” would not recognize that our steel industry is in shambles because of China through currency manipulation, dumping steel into the United States, which has destroyed our steel industry and related industries.
I will take a businessman like Trump any day over a career politician like Hilary Clinton. If any of “we the people” had lied, as she did about her emails, we would be in an orange jumpsuit today. Does any reasonable person really believe anyone paying $250,000 for a short speech doesn’t want something in return? I think not.
The choice is very simple — a career politician coming from Washington, D.C., which is a cesspool of corruption with more government; or a business person who owes only the American people.
