Groom bitten by rattlesnake during wedding day photo shoot

The happiest day of their lives took a bizarre twist when a Fort Collins, Col. groom being photographed with his bride next to a lake was bitten by a rattlesnake.

The photographer snapped photos as the bride, Laura Benson, made calls and the groom, Johnny, received treatment from emergency workers.

Fortunately for Johnny, the rattlesnake delivered a “dry bite,” injecting no venom.

One tetanus shot later the couple made a fashionably late entrance to their reception.
