Expect delays on May River Road this weekend as storm debris is removed
Beaufort County officials are advising advise drivers to plan ahead for weekend lane closures on S.C. Highway 46 and May River Road on Saturday and Sunday for hurricane debris removal.
The lane closures will be temporary for crews to remove hazardous trees and limbs starting from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Intermittent lane closures along the road and all state, county and town roadways will continue for the next several weeks.
Traffic will be controlled through the work zones via signs and traffic control devices.
