Beaufort County schools set for early dismissal Tuesday due to bad weather, officials say
School will be let out early and all after-school activities have been canceled due to expected inclement weather Tuesday in Beaufort County, school district officials announced in a press release.
All high schools in the area are set to be released at 2:45 p.m. as are K-8 schools and Robert Smalls International Academy, the press release said. Elementary schools are set to close at 1:45 p.m.
Additionally, county offices will close at 1 p.m. in order to give county employees the time to make it home to meet their students, according to Beaufort County spokesperson Chris Ophardt.
