Thanksgiving weather predictions: Beaufort Co. under freeze warning ahead of holiday

Beaufort County could see frost and freezing temperatures Tuesday night — but the weather should warm up alongside your turkey for Thanksgiving, according to the National Weather Service’s forecast.

The National Weather Service has the county under a freeze warning from 10 p.m. Tuesday to 9 a.m. Wednesday, with a predicted low of 32 degrees and a possibility of patchy frost.

But after that, temperatures will rise, reaching a high near 65 degrees on Thanksgiving day.

And the warm(er) weather will continue into the weekend, for anyone looking to shop in-person for Black Friday or tailgate for their favorite football rivalries.

Here’s a detailed forecast for the week:

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 54 and north winds of 10 to 15 mph. At night, patchy frost after 11 p.m., but otherwise clear with a low around 32 degrees.

Wednesday: Sunny during the day, with frost clearing around 8 a.m., and clear at night, with slight northeast winds. The high will be near 58 degrees and the low will be around 41 degrees.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 65. Light and variable wind. At night, a low around 50 and partial clouds.

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 64 and a low around 39.
