Rain storms Friday could drop up to 5 inches of water on Beaufort, Bluffton, Hilton Head and Port Royal, according to the National Weather Service Charleston.
Heavy rain is likely to continue throughout the day, and some flooding is possible.
A flash flood watch called Friday morning was cancelled Friday afternoon by the weather service.

Friday: Showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. High near 82. Calm wind becoming south around 6 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.
Friday night: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 73. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Saturday: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 9 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 83. Northeast wind 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
