Beach weather or nap weather? Beaufort County’s forecast for Memorial Day weekend
If you’re firing up the grill for a socially-distanced Memorial Day weekend, it may be wise to have a backup plan.
Weather forecasts for Beaufort County this weekend show scattered thunderstorms and chances of showers throughout, according to The National Weather Service in Charleston.
The best weather day for the three-day weekend appears to be Saturday, when chances for rain and thunderstorms don’t begin until after 3 p.m.
Monday, Memorial Day, will be slightly cooler than this week, but with a 30% chance of rain and thunderstorms.
There are no severe weather warnings for the holiday weekend as of Friday morning.
Mark Malsick, with the S.C. Climate Office, suggested that most of the holiday weekend will be spent “in the Seattle simulator... without the volcanoes.”
