The 2025 RBC Heritage has officially begun, bringing world-class golf and Lowcountry charm to Hilton Head Island to celebrate the 57th edition.

As a Signature Event on the PGA TOUR, The Heritage features a limited field of 72 elite players competing for a $20 million purse, with $3.6 million awarded to the winner.

On Sunday, Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy won the 89th Masters in a one-hole playoff over Justin Rose. With his first win at Augusta National, McIlroy became the sixth man in history to win all four major tournaments.

While McIlroy won’t be attending RBC Heritage, defending champion Scottie Scheffler leads a strong lineup that includes Xander Schauffele, Ludvig Åberg, Viktor Hovland, Collin Morikawa, Justin Thomas, Tommy Fleetwood, Shane Lowry and Jason Day.

The full list of competing players can be found here:

Harbour Town: A strategic tournament challenge

Designed by Pete Dye and Jack Nicklaus, Harbour Town Golf Links is renowned for its narrow fairways, small Bermuda greens and the iconic 18th-hole lighthouse with sweeping views of the Calibogue Sound to the players’ left of the final fairway and green complex.

The par-71 course stretches 7,191 yards and demands precision over power.
