A popular SC hotel is among the best nature resorts in US, new ranking shows. Here’s why

Have you ever thought of your natural surrounding being what draws you to a resort in a particular region of the country?

The incorporation of this South Carolina region’s flora and fauna surrounding a particular resort is what helped it be ranked as one of the best to visit nationwide, due to its natural beauty.

Montage Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton, found in the state’s Lowcountry region, was recently established to be among the best nature resorts in the U.S., according to a recent report by Trips to Discover.

Designed in classic Southern style, honoring the region’s architectural heritage, Montage Palmetto Bluff offers 200 accommodations including suites, guest houses and cottages.

This may come to no surprise for many who frequent the establishment or its community as it is immersed in a lush, green, coastal scenery and is surrounded by an abundance of local marsh grasses, live oak trees, Spanish moss and a substantial amount of varying living species that are distinctive to the area.

In the ranking, 12 resorts around the country were selected as the best for nature.

Montage Palmetto Bluff, found off of highway 46 and located in the private community of Palmetto Bluff, was listed as one of the best nature resorts for being “nestled in Lowcountry paradise” by the report.

Opportunities such as kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, scenic yacht cruises, biking, golfing and more were listed as available activities for guests and residents to undertake as they experience their surroundings. In addition, the resort sits on a 20,000-acre nature preserve, which is accompanied by a naturalist program with birding excursions, classes, private walking tours and several other offerings.
