Is this SC town ‘straight out of a Norman Rockwell painting?’ Take a look

Bluffton was recently named as a Christmas town straight out of a Norman Rockwell painting in a recent article by Only In Your State.

The article recognized Bluffton’s annual tree lighting ceremony, caroling children, Santa and Mrs. Claus riding in their Christmas golf cart, the town’s Christmas parade, which features Santa riding on a fire engine, great shopping and more.

Bluffton was described as “such a quaint town any time of year, but really special during the holiday season” by the publication.

Anyone who has the opportunity to stroll through Old Town Bluffton will get to see the decorative wreaths on each lamp post that shine brightly when lit in the evenings.

Bluffton has many Christmas offerings this time of year.

The Town of Bluffton recently kicked off the start of December and the beginning of the holiday season with the 51st annual Bluffton Christmas Parade on Dec 3.

Bluffton also has several events coming up to celebrate the Christmas season.

  • The Town of Bluffton will be hosting the last Movie Nights at Town Parks of the year. The movie being played will be “Elf” and will take place on Dec. 16 at Martin Family Park from 6-8 p.m. In addition, a bounce house and games will begin at 5 p.m. at this free event.

  • Santa will visit the Tanger Outlets each Wednesday up until Christmas at Jumpin’ Jellybeans in Tanger 1 from 9-10 a.m. Attendees will get the chance to enjoy free cookies and milk while listening to Santa Claus read “The Elf on the Shelf” at this free event.

The article, by Only In Your State, highlighted the numerous opportunities to see Santa as well as the great shopping opportunities that Old Town Bluffton has to offer.

Stores like the Bluffton General Store and The Store were highlighted in the publication for finding fun Christmas decorations and gift ideas for your family and friends.

The article reads, “Bluffton describes itself as ‘a Town that appreciates the past, focuses on today, and is planning together for a greater future.’ Old Town Bluffton Inn with the United States and South Carolina flags and palms lit up for Christmas certainly reflects this sentiment.”
