Man who vanished wearing only his pajamas is still missing months later, SC cops say
It’s been more than 100 days since a 37-year-old man in South Carolina, shoeless and wearing pajamas, vanished from his home.
The family of Boyce Anthony Morris Jr. and the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office aren’t giving up the search.
Morris was last seen on Feb. 13, according to a news release from the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office. He left his Pickens home without taking a cellphone or his wallet, the family told deputies.
Morris left his home wearing a white V-neck T-shirt, blue or gray pajama pants, socks, glasses and a silver necklace, the release said.
He wasn’t feeling well in the days leading up to his disappearance and has multiple medical conditions, his family told deputies.
“He had been real bad sick. He had ear infection, bronchitis and stuff and he was delirious that morning. Delirious talking out of his head a little bit,” Morris’ aunt, Deborah Andrews, told WSPA.
When his family suggested they should contact emergency medical services to help Morris, he ran into the woods near their home and never returned, WSPA reported.
“I just wish that he would come home or they could give us closure, and if there’s somebody out there knows anything, could they please come forth,” Andrews told WSPA. “My hope is that we can find him alive, but I know in my heart somehow that, that’s not going to be possible.”
Deputies held another search for Morris on June 2 using police dogs.
Morris is 6 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs 180 to 190 pounds, deputies said. He goes by the name “BA” and may be in need of medical assistance.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office at 864-898-5500 or Detective Genthner at 864-898-5519.
Pickens is about 123 miles northwest of Columbia.
