Search ends for man with medical issues who was missing for days, Lexington police say

The search for a missing Midlands man with medical issues ended Wednesday

William Tyler Wood was found and taken to an area hospital for care, the Lexington Police Department said. Further information on his condition was not available.

William Tyler Wood was publicly reported missing police earlier in the day. Wood had not been seen since last week, police said in a news release.

Police said the tips they received helped lead them to Wood, who has medical issues that require medication. During the search, policed believe Wood might not have been taking his prescriptions.

Wood was last seen on the night of Feb. 12, according to the release. He was on West Main Street, police said.

There was no word if Wood was alone when he was last seen. Police did not say if foul play was suspected in Wood’s disappearance.

Information on where Wood was located was not available.
