Search for missing Lexington County teen who hasn’t been seen for months
A search is underway for a West Columbia teenager who hasn’t been seen by her family in months, the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department said Thursday.
Evelyn Isabella “Bella” Pierce’s family told the sheriff’s department they have not seen the 16-year-old girl since July 20. That’s when she left her West Columbia home at about midnight, the sheriff’s department said.
“We’re working to make sure (Bella) is safe,” the sheriff’s department tweeted.
Bella also has family in Blythewood, according to the tweet. Her family said no one has heard from Bella since they reported her missing on July 20, according to the sheriff’s department.
The teen has run away in the past, and the sheriff’s department told The State it believes she ran away again on July 20.
There was no word if Bella is believed to be alone.
Information was not available about Bella possibly being considered in danger.
The sheriff’s department described Bella as 5-foot-9, and about 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information about Bella, or anybody who has seen her, is asked to call the sheriff’s department at 803-785-8230.
