Miami-based company recalls baby food from Target stores for elevated lead
Baby food has been recalled from Target stores nationwide on the possibility it has elevated lead.
Miami’s Fruselva USA recalled two lots of Good & Gather baby Pea, Zucchini, Kale & Thyme Vegetable Puree on March 12, but didn’t issue a news advisory. The recall showed up this week in a daily report from the Food and Drug Administration where the federal agency classified it as a Class II recall, meaning using the product “may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or ... the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote.”
The baby food recall covers lot Nos. 4169 with a best by date of Dec. 9, 2025, and 4167 with a best by date of Dec. 7, 2025. About 25,600 4-ounce bowls are in the recall.
Return the recalled puree to the store for a refund or throw it away. Direct questions about the recall to Fruselva via its website or through its Instagram, Facebook or X accounts.
