Hardeeville City Council candidates must file by Friday
Candidates who want a shot at winning a seat on the Hardeeville City Council have until noon on Friday to file.
The election to fill a city council seat vacated by Harry Williams, who became the city’s mayor, will be held Aug. 30.
Voters will be able to cast ballots from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at four polling places:
▪ Hardeeville Precinct 1: St. Stephens AME Church, 710 E. Main St., Hardeeville
▪ Hardeeville Precinct 2: Fisher Chapel United Methodist Church fellowship hall, 445 Church Rd., Hardeeville
▪ Okatie: St. Luke’s Baptist Church, 3048 Snake Rd., Ridgeland
▪ Sun City: Sun City Lakehouse on Sgt. William Jasper Boulevard, Hardeeville
One candidate, Carolyn Kassel, has filed to run as of Wednesday afternoon.
Election results will be certified Sept. 1.
