Leading Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump will make his second appearance in Beaufort County in as many days when he holds a rally at Sun City Hilton Head’s Magnolia Hall on Wednesday morning.

Trump is expected to step onstage in Sun City at 10 a.m., the first of three candidates making local stops Wednesday in a 90-minute span. Among other Republicans in town hoping for the party’s nomination for president are John Kasich in Old Town Bluffton at 11:30 a.m., and Jeb Bush, at the Beaufort Inn in Beaufort at 10:30 a.m.

Monday night, Trump held a packed event at Beaufort High School. The New York businessman held a commanding lead in a CNN/ORC poll released Tuesday, with 38 percent of the survey’s respondents favoring Trump.

Polls for the Republican primary open Saturday.

Reporter Matt McNab is at Trump’s Sun City event this morning. His tweets will be available below.
