Groups offer transportation to get voter IDs

American Legion Post 49 and the Military Officers Association America -- Hilton Head Island will provide transportation for any island resident to the S.C. Department of Motor Vehicles in Bluffton to obtain government issued photo ID.

Such a card is required to register and vote in the upcoming primary and presidential elections.

Those interested should call First Presbyterian Church of Hilton Head at 843- 681-3696 and provide their name, address, and phone number.

First Presbyterian Church will contact the groups to arrange transportation.
