Elections

Here’s who’s on the ballots for 2020 elections in Beaufort and Jasper counties

With South Carolina’s candidate-filing deadline at noon Monday for the Nov. 3 elections, Beaufort County has three members of the County Council running unopposed and one member in the state House of Representatives unopposed. Jasper County’s clerk of court is also running unopposed. But most districts representing Beaufort and Jasper counties have challengers.

Between March 16 and noon on Monday, dozens of candidates filed to run for the upcoming statewide general election.

Four seats are up for grabs on Beaufort County Council. The Beaufort County coroner position is on the ballot.
