Local Republicans to celebrate Reagan's birthday

Beaufort County Republicans are invited to celebrate what would have been the late President Ronald Reagan's 105th birthday on Feb. 5.

The pulled-pork barbecue dinner and fundraiser will be held at 5:30 p.m. at the Quality Inn at 2001 Boundary Street in Beaufort. Birthday cake will be served and "ranch casual" attire -- jeans and "western shirts" -- is encouraged.

Tickets cost $35 per person and proceeds will benefit The Reagan Ranch Center-Young America's Foundation and the Beaufort County GOP Hillsdale College Scholarship Fund.

Checks should be sent by Jan. 29 addressed to Reagan Day Dinner, c/o Paolo Cassutti, 166 Dataw Drive, St. Helena Island, SC 29920.
