Democratic Club South of Broad meetings next week

The Sept. 22 meeting will be held From 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Palmetto Electric Cooperative's community room at 111 Mathews Drive. James Edward Alexander will give a presentation on sectarianism in the Middle East. Alexander has testified on the topic for the World Affairs Council, AND IS an Air Force veteran and a published author, the release said.

On Sept. 24, the club will hold a small-plate dinner from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the home of Sea Pines resident Dottie McIlraith. Space is limited and tickets are $25 per person. Attendees will also take part in an online communication with Clay Middleton from the Hillary Clinton Leadership Team, the release said.
