After sixteen years of holding the office of mayor of Bluffton, Lisa Sulka can’t leave - just yet. She will be holding on to the job for another week as Tuesday’s threatening and unsafe weather conditions forced the cancellation of the Bluffton Town Council meeting. With it, came the postponement of the swearing-in ceremony of Mayor-Elect Larry Toomer until Jan. 16 at 5:00 p.m.

The town previously had a Town Council workshop scheduled for that time. The workshop will be replaced with a Town Council meeting and the discussion items will be incorporated into the council meeting.
