What do you think of Hilton Head’s plan to use town-owned land for workforce housing?

The town of Hilton Head Island wants to create a public-private partnership to build workforce housing on town-owned land west of the north-end Post Office.

Ward 3 Town Council member David Ames, meanwhile, has recently argued that a portion of the sprawling 103-acre mid-island tract should be used for a workforce housing project.

The mid-island tract is the former Planter’s Row Golf Course.
