South Korea checking whether Korean-flagged vessel struck in Hormuz, report says
SEOUL - South Korea said it was verifying intelligence that a South Korean-flagged vessel was attacked in the Strait of Hormuz, Yonhap News said on Monday.
South Korea's foreign ministry said no casualties were reported due to the possible attack, according to Yonhap.
The U.S. military said two U.S. Navy guided-missile destroyers had entered the Gulf to break an Iranian blockade and that two U.S. ships had transited the Strait of Hormuz, after Iran said it had prevented a U.S. warship entering the Gulf.
