A new burger is joining Wendy’s “baconator” lineup, but not for long.

The Pretzel Baconator made its menu debut Tuesday, Nov. 28, marking the latest iteration of the popular handheld, according to the Ohio-based burger chain.

“You can’t top a Baconator,” Wendy’s website says. “So we twisted it.”

Fans of Wendy’s Baconator lineup can try the new Pretzel Baconator, featuring a pretzel bun, for a limited time at restaurants nationwide.

It’s not a far cry from the original, made with two beef patties piled high with slices of Applewood smoked bacon and American cheese, the product description reads. It’s then topped with ketchup and mayo, and served on a pretzel bun.

The Pretzel Baconator is a whopping 1,050 calories — eclipsing both the original Baconator (960 calories) and Son of a Baconator sandwiches (630 calories), according to the restaurant’s website.

“Our fans’ adoration for the pretzel bun inspired our newest twist on a Wendy’s classic created for pretzel lovers and bacon fanatics alike,” Lindsay Radkoski, U.S. chief marketing officer for The Wendy’s Company, said in a news release.

The sandwich also joins the Baconator Fries and the Breakfast Baconator on menus nationwide for a limited time, the release said.
