‘Earthship’ in Colorado completely fascinates in TikTok video. ‘If only I was rich’
The name “earthship” can be a little deceiving if you’re thinking about it in a sci-fi type of way. While it may sound like a bizarre plot point from a Ridley Scott movie, what it actually is is pretty cool all on its own.
It’s a “passive solar home made of natural and recycled materials,” Environment-Ecology.com says, and this particular one on the Colorado Springs real estate market for $730,000 has bewitched the TikTok universe.
The popular HousesThatAreCool account did a TikTok video on the two-bedroom, one-bathroom “green friendly” house which is surrounded by Colorado beauty, and needless to say folks were fascinated.
“If only I was rich,” one person commented.
“Dream home,” another said.
“This is so cool,” someone said.
The inside is not only as captivating as the exterior, but it’s also a spacious 2,940-square-feet complete with an indoor pond.
Other features include:
“100-foot aluminum clad wall of windows”
Skylights
Vermont slate floors
New solar system
Wood burning stove
Propane stove
Tankless water heater
Large kitchen
The bedrooms are also pretty impressive.
“Huge primary suite with walk-out to side yard, built-in planters, seating area, walk-in closet,” the listing on Realtor.com says. “Awesome guest room with built-in privacy planter wall and hidden Murphy bed.”
Colorado Springs is about 70 miles south of Denver.
