Woman found dead in hot springs just before dawn, Utah officials say
A passer-by discovered a woman’s body in an Ogden Canyon hot spring just before dawn, Utah sheriff’s officials say.
The other person pulled her from the water just before 5 a.m. Friday, May 20, and tried to revive her, Weber County sheriff’s officials told KSTU. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman may have drowned, deputies told KSL.
An investigation into her death continues, the sheriff’s office told KTVX. The Ogden River hot springs, which are on private land, are a popular spot for local residents, according to officials.
The canyon is just east of Ogden, which is north of Salt Lake City.
