A baby was born in California at a very special time: at 2:22 p.m., on Feb. 2, 2022, the hospital said.

The baby, Ramon, is the first child born to 31-year-old Natalie Hernandez and her husband, Angel, Kaiser Permanente San Diego said in the news release. Ramon’s birth occurred on a rare palindrome date, or a date that reads the same way forward as it does backward — 2/2/22.

Ramon is also the 22nd great-grandchild of Natalie’s grandmother Josephine, the hospital said. He weighed 8 pounds and 3 ounces and is 19 inches long, according to the release.

Kaiser Permanente San Diego Medical Center, the hospital where the Carlsbad couple welcomed their son, also recognized the special occasion in a tweet.

“Congratulations to mom and dad and welcome to the world Ramon!” the hospital said on Twitter.
