Boundary Street project requires nightly lane closures
Parts of Boundary Street will be closed nightly this week for curb and drainage work related to Beaufort’s ongoing road project, a city news release said.
One southbound lane of Boundary Street — heading toward downtown Beaufort — will be closed at the Hogarth Street intersection and Kmart traffic signal. The lane will be closed from 8 p.m. until dawn.
The work is unrelated to a sinkhole that formed on Boundary Street near Marsh Road last week. Those repairs will also be done at night and require a lane closure, though the work has not been scheduled, the release said.
