Wreck backs up Hilton Head-bound traffic
A wreck on US 278 East on Hilton Head Island caused a traffic headache for inbound travelers Tuesday morning.
The wreck blocked the center and left lanes of the highway near Chamberlin Drive around 10 a.m. The lanes were reopened around 10:25 a.m.
Traffic was reportedly backed up at least halfway across the US 278 bridge onto Hilton Head.
Information about possible injuries was not immediately available.
