Traffic on eastbound U.S. 278 near Hilton Head Island was backed up for approximately 45 minutes Wednesday after a landscaping truck and trailer collided with another vehicle on William Hilton Parkway.

The crash happened near the intersection of Jenkins Road around noon and caused traffic to be backed up across the Hilton Head bridge as emergency crews cleared the scene.

No injuries were reported, according to Joheida Fister, spokesperson for the Hilton Head Fire & Rescue Division.

The scene was clear by 12:45 p.m., Fister said.
