Hilton Head roundabout recognized for engineering excellence

The American Council of Engineering Companies has awarded the Town of Hilton Head the Engineering Excellence Award for the Mathews Drive-Marshland Road roundabout project.

The February award was announced to Hilton Head Island Town Council on Tuesday.

The roundabout project has not seen any severe traffic accidents since it was completed in April 2015, according to the town.
