One hospitalized after Bluffton Parkway collision

One person was taken by ambulance to a local hospital after a two-vehicle wreck on Bluffton Parkway this morning.

At approximately 9:30 a.m., the Bluffton Township Fire District and Beaufort County EMS were dispatched to a wreck at Bluffton Parkway and Persimmons Street, fire district spokesman Capt. Randy Hunter said.

Two vehicles had collided, with one flipping over. One person was taken by ambulance to the hospital, and westbound lanes of Bluffton Parkway were closed, Hunter said.

The Bluffton Police Department is investigating the collision.
