Flood advisory issued for Beaufort, Jasper counties under heavy rain

Heavy rain across southern South Carolina and coastal Georgia has prompted the National Weather Service to issue a flood advisory until Friday at 11:15 a.m.

The advisory warns drivers to avoid traveling through standing water on roadways to prevent hydroplaning, and to be aware of the possibility of flooding in low-lying areas.
