Overnight lane closures planned on US 278 next week

The closures begin each night at 8 p.m. and will end by 6 a.m. the following morning. Closures will affect westbound lanes overnight Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, and eastbound lanes overnight Tuesday.

The restrictions are necessary for R.R. Dawson Bridge Co. to move materials at the construction zone along the highway for the Bluffton Parkway flyover project.

Drivers should pay attention to signs, roadside equipment and crews. Delays are expected.
