USCB move-in expected to slow weekend traffic in Beaufort & Bluffton, police say

Drivers should expect traffic around both campuses of the University of South Carolina Beaufort this weekend as its 2,000 students move in for the fall semester.

Police asked commuters in the area to seek alternate routes or keep a lookout for pedestrians during the move-in process. Here are the closures and high-congestion areas to know about, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.

  • Congestion is likely in the New Riverside Village shopping center, located across the highway from the Bluffton campus.
  • The campus entrance at East Campus Drive will be closed to all traffic Saturday and Sunday.

Beaufort
