The South Carolina Department of Transportation will resume paving work on William Hilton Parkway starting Sunday, June 11.

SCDOT will be applying the final layer of asphalt as well as adding pavement markings. Road crews will work nightly between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. nightly until it’s complete, according to a press release from the town of Hilton Head Island.

The work is expected to finish by July 31, 2023.

One lane of traffic will always remain open in each direction, according to the town’s website.
