Traffic lights back on after Wednesday outage on 4-mile stretch of U.S. 278, cops say

All traffic signals on a 4-mile stretch of U.S. 278 between Bluffton and Hilton Head are back on after being out of service Wednesday morning, according to an alert sent by the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office just after 11 a.m.

The outage extended from Malphrus Road in Bluffton to Blue Heron Point Road in Hilton Head.

No accidents have been reported as of 11:25 a.m., Viens said.
