Attention, drivers! Lanes on Cross Island Parkway to close for work starting Wednesday

Lanes of the Cross Island Parkway will be closed for work late this week starting Wednesday, the Town of Hilton Head announced Tuesday afternoon.

Closures will begin Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. and could stretch into Friday, according to the town. Lanes between the bridge and the former toll booth locations will be closed from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day to allow SCDOT crews to work on the median wall.

Drivers should plan for travel delays during these times. More information on the construction is available at the SCDOT project website.
