Traffic blocked, at least 1 person injured after crash on SC 170 in Okatie, police say
A crash on SC 170 is blocking midday traffic in Okatie and has left at least one person injured, according to an alert sent from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office just after 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The accident occurred at the intersection of North Okatie Highway and Callawassie Drive. Both northbound lanes of the highway, including Callawassie Drive, are blocked. The nature and number of injuries are not yet known.
Drivers should expect significant delays when traveling through the area, according to the alert.
As of 2:30 p.m., traffic was backed up for two miles, stretching from the intersection of Lowcountry Drive and S.C. 170 all the way up to Callawassie Drive.
