All U.S. 278 lanes on Hilton Head blocked following Tuesday morning crash, police say
A crash Tuesday morning blocked all lanes on U.S. 278 on Hilton Head Island, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office alert.
The crash, which was between a pickup truck and a car, blocked all westbound lanes on U.S. 278 near Jenkins Road, police said in the alert. As of 12:15, emergency crews from the Hilton Head Island Fire Rescue had cleared the crash, according to Joheida Fister, a spokesperson for the fire rescue. At least one person was transported to Hilton Head Regional Hospital with minor injuries, she said.
Another crash Tuesday morning on S.C. 170 in Okatie blocked a left lane near Barrel Landing Road heading west, police said in a separate alert.
