Myrtle Beach man killed in motorcycle crash Thursday on Trask Parkway in Sheldon

A Myrtle Beach man died in a motorcycle crash on Trask Parkway in Sheldon Thursday morning, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol and Beaufort County coronor.
The crash happened around 9:02 a.m. on Trask Parkway at Old Sheldon Church Road, according to Trooper Nick Pye, a spokesperson for the Highway Patrol. The 1997 Harley Davidson was heading north on Trask Parkway when the crash occurred, Pye said.
There were no other vehicles involved.
David Bevilacqua, 74, of Myrtle Beach was identified as the motorcyclist killed in the crash by Beaufort County Coroner David Ott.
A forensic autopsy will be performed at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston to determine whether the motorcyclist was suffering from a medical condition that may have contributed to the crash, Ott said.
The Highway Patrol’s investigation also is ongoing.
