Modular home stuck on Buck Island Road, backing up traffic Tuesday near Bluffton school

A modular home blocked a Bluffton road after it appeared to fall off a transport vehicle and got stuck in a ditch on Tuesday afternoon, according to police.

The Bluffton Police Department responded to the scene of the marooned home on Buck Island Road near Browns Way off of Bluffton Parkway at around 2:00 p.m.

The road reopened to traffic at around 3:00 p.m., according to Lt. Christian Gonzales. He previously warned of impacts to afternoon traffic.

Bluffton Middle School is in the area of the accident.

There were no injuries, he said.
