Morning traffic slow after SC 170 crash shuts down lanes. What to know

UPDATE 9:39 AM: Traffic cameras show the crash has cleared and traffic has resumed.

Lanes are closed and traffic is piling up on S.C. 170 after a crash during Friday’s morning rush hour, according to authorities.

All lanes heading west on S.C. 170 are shut down.

Emergency vehicles are on the scene of the crash at S.C. 170 and Argent Boulevard, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office news alert.

The alert went out at around 8 a.m.

“Motorists can expect heavy traffic and possible delays for the next few hours,” it said.
