Broken down car Thursday morning causes backup on the J.E. McTeer Bridge in Port Royal

Drivers heading toward Port Royal on the J.E. McTeer Bridge can expect a traffic jam Thursday morning because a car broke down, according to an alert from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.
The car blocked the left lane on the bridge, the alert said. Traffic was able to flow through the right lane, traffic cameras showed. Wreckers are on the way, and the car is expected to be cleared by 9 a.m., the alert said.
Drivers can expect delays.
