Crash on Mathews Drive causes traffic, lane closures on Hilton Head, police say
Traffic heading west on Hilton Head is expected to be delayed until about 7 p.m. after a crash Wednesday, according to an alert from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash took place at U.S. 278 and Mathews Drive, the alert said. As of 5:54 p.m., all westbound lanes on U.S. 278 were blocked and emergency responders were at the scene.
Drivers should expect delays.
